The following communities are currently authorized for participation in our on-line meetings:

Slate Falls, Cat Lake, Poplar Hill, Bearskin Lake, Peawanuk, Lac Seul, Deer Lake, North Caribou Lake, North Spirit Lake, Wunnumin Lake, Muskrat Dam, Kingfisher Lake, Sachigo Lake, Wapekeka, Big Trout Lake

Our committee has been able to deliver online meetings since Sept 2015, with help of K-Net service providers.

We are currently experiencing participation levels from minimum to next to none at times. We find challenges like this from time to time but we remain optimistic and look forward to working with members and or Professionals working in or travelling into those communities to bring awareness of availability of these meetings in their communities and encourage them to participate and share their experience strength and hope with others.

We have sent books, literature, meeting formats, speaker cd's , we will continue to send where there is a request. Help and assistance from the three other areas in Ontario, Area 83, Area 84 and Area 86 has contributed books, literature packages being sent to those communities.

We feel it is important when traveling into these communities to enquire where or if there are AA meetings. If there are no meetings, would it be possible to help establish meetings in their communities, using the walk with me principal and show them how to facilitate a meeting. Once members see how easy it is to organize or have meetings we then have helped carry the message.

Meetings back in their respective communities for those have commuted to urban areas for treatment or been incarcerated is another step in support for them upon return.

We encourage members who live in Area 85 who are able to attend these meetings Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM CST to come out and share in these meetings. We are also looking for individuals who are willing to let their names stand for contacts as temporary sponsors, or groups willing to assist in sponsoring groups in remote communities.

Also is the ongoing request for Big Books, 12 and 12s, Living Sober, Came to Believe, Pamplets, Flyers. We always need these to send to the remote communities as they're always being requested.
